This is the perfect weekend to escape and experience the delights of the North Devon coastal landscape with your camera. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Woolacombe is a lively village famed for its surfing, with pubs, shops and has a fantastic award winning beach that is frequently cited as being in the top 5 UK beaches. This weekend is designed to give beginners or those looking to get more from their digital camera the confidence to use your camera to its full potential. Through motivating, practical sessions you’ll learn more about your camera and various techniques to capture the magnificent coastline and the intimate landscape within. We’ll focus on the wonderful landscape around us such as silver sand beaches, rocky coves and stunning sunsets. Surfers and kite surfers make interesting subjects and we can be creative with the abstract patterns, colours and textures at our feet. Further afield we could visit the pretty fishing port at Ilfracombe and Croyde Bay. All in all the weekend is designed to flexible and above all fun.

Accommodation: Our accommodation is the Royal Hotel, surrounded by National Trust land and overlooking Woolacombe Bay and commands spectacular panoramic views over this three-mile sweep of sandy beach.

Tuition: Tuition is in the form of in-the-field talks, demonstrations, one-to-ones, review sessions and discussions.

You can learn about: Camera functions and handling; Composition; Exposures; Apertures; Shutter speeds; Depth of Field and Using Filters.

Group size is limited to 8: Small groups mean that you get the best out of a location and receive the personal attention to learn at your own pace.
