Jersey, St Helier..

Jersey is a fantastic destination for families and we are repeating this destination due to its never ending popularity. Jersey is the most southerly Island of the British Isles and the Met Office often rates Jersey as the sunniest place in the British Isles. Its beaches are wonderful ranging from vast, surf-pounded strands to golden coves tucked under heather-covered cliffs. Try surfing or body boarding at St. Ouen's with its four mile stretch of beach on the Atlantic coast.  St Brelades is a great beach for relaxing, with its gently shelving sweep of sand backed by hotels, cafes and bucket-and-spade shops. Jersey offers a wealth of activities and fun for all ages. There are gentle walks around the coastline but top of the bill is Jersey Zoo founded by Author Gerald Durrell, which aims to save animals from extinction (appeals to many who don't usually approve of zoos). Elizabeth Castle is fun to visit due to its unique location where you can walk across the causeway at low tide or catch the amphibious ferry. Then there`s the Maize Maze - a children's adventure park, Aquasplash Leisure Pool in St Helier, Living Legends where we can play mini-golf and try go-karting as well as many other attractions. We can take the tourist train to St Aubins or the more energetic can hire bikes and cycle there. The bus network is reasonably priced and enables us to reach all parts of the island with relative ease.

Accommodation

We will be staying half board at the recently-refurbished and upgraded three star Mayfair Hotel in St Helier, Jersey. The hotel is conveniently located only a few minutes walk from the bustling shops and a ten minute stroll from the beach at Havre des Pas. Within the Mayfair hotel there is an indoor swimming pool, heated all year round.  Alternatively, unwind in the Jacuzzi beside the pool or relax in the adjacent steamroom. There is also a gym and a games room situated near the swimming pool, with a toddlers play area. The hotel has a bar and a coffee shop. There is entertainment in the hotel on most evenings and the hotel has a Kids Club with a range of fun activities for children aged from 5 to 12.

All bedrooms are en-suite and have TV, radio with tea and coffee-making facilities. The evening meals are served in the spacious dining room.

Mango Group Holiday Fun

Each morning after breakfast your Mango co-ordinator will meet up with the group and will organise a programme of events and visits. There will also be a get together before dinner so that the group can go into the restaurant to dine together.
