We are repeating our skiing holiday by popular request. Our resort, Predeal in Romania is geared up especially for children and the package includes bed, breakfast, lunch, evening meal, hire of boots, skis and poles and ski school. We will be staying in the ski lodge based right next to the nursery slopes. Predeal is the highest ski resort in Romania (1033m) but one of the quieter resorts. There are 6 ski runs, 2 chairlifts and 2 drag lifts. The accommodation is in a ski lodge and all the rooms are en suite, clean and cheerful and have balconies. The rooms are twin, 3 or 4 bed. There is also a skating rink, sledges and a great games room. This resort is ideal for beginners. Those of you with more experience might want to venture to nearby resorts of Busteni, Sinaia and Poiana Brasov.
We can visit the fairy tale castle at Sinaia and this time we have decided to include the visit to Dracula's Castle at Bran and a visit to nearby Brasov, a pretty medieval town is nearby and certainly worth a visit. We can experience a Romanian evening in a nearby villa once the private holiday villa of Ceausescu, which now operates as a folklore restaurant or visit one of the other local restaurants.
Flights: Flights 10-17 February are from London Heathrow to Bucharest with British Airways. Flights 17-24 February are London Heathrow to Bucharest with Alitalia via Rome.
