We have organised this special trip to visit Santa in his own log cabin in Lapland. This is a truly magical holiday and a chance to tell Santa what you would like for Christmas if you’ve been good. We will stay close-by to Santa’s log cabin in the truly lovely Hotel Kalevala, which will be decorated for Christmas.
The next day we will take a dog sledge safari and have lunch by an open campfire. In the evening there will be time for a sauna and a swim and then a Finnish Evening of dinner and folklore-programme with entertainment from the Helka group - local boys and girls who will sing and dance and play the Kantele, the Finnish national instrument and they will teach us a dance. Later on we’ll have a campfire and a visit from the Magical shaman.
Next morning there’ll be time for sledging, ice-skating, cross-country skiing, making snowmen or Play Station and movies in the Children’s playroom. Fairy Tale Christmas Tour
We’ll walk through the snow to meet Santa and his elves. The walk will take us along a forest trail, full of surprises and lit by ice candles and open fires.
As we go there will be music and the elves will dance along. When we get to Santa’s cabin we’ll make some gingerbread and have some hot juice and of course this is where we’ll meet Santa.
In the evening we’ll have a traditional Christmas meal and dancing. In the morning after breakfast it will be time to say goodbye after this truly fantastic experience which will long remain vivid in your memories.
