Flights and Transfers: Flights are available with a number of airlines from a number of regional airports, including Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds Bradford. Some may only be available for flights on Wednesday or Saturday. (Some alternative airports may be available.) Some airports may attract a flight supplement. We recommend you book early to avoid flight supplements. The Transfer to the hotel is just 10 minutes from Paphos Airport.

Prices include flights, transfers, half board accommodation (except on one evening when we eat out) and a Mango co-ordinator who will be with the group. Each morning after breakfast the co-ordinator will meet up with the group and will organise a programme of activities and visits. There will also be a get together before dinner so that the group can go into the dining room and eat together.

Cyprus

CyprusCyprus is a modern country that effortlessly marries European culture with ancient enchantment. Here you will discover a compact world of alluring beaches and stunning mountain peaks, vineyards studded with olive trees and ancient ruins that stir the imagination, citrus groves and old stone villages where sweet wine flows as freely as conversations at the local cafe. Cyprus is a carefree place where a sense of timelessness is magnified by the kindness of the people. In August the average maximum temperature is 33, with 12 hours of sunshine. In October the average maximum temperature is 28, with 9.5 hours of sunshine.

Paphos

CyprusPaphos became the capital of Cyprus under the successors of Alexander the Great. The whole area abounds in historical and archaeological treasure. Paphos is positively teaming with history and has as its focal point a charming fishing harbour by Paphos old Castle, lined with open-air cafes and taverns that serve a tempting menu of the day's catch. Paphos was where the mythological Goddess Aphrodite was born and Paphos was the name of the mythological daughter of Venus and Pygmalion.

Activities

The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools suitable for children of all ages as well as games and play areas. There is giant chess, mini golf, tennis and a gym room. There is entertainment in the evenings and activities in the pool and the hotel is just 300 meters from a beach. The restaurant has a different theme for each evening meal. It is within easy walking distance of the harbour and castle, the famous mosaics and the Aquarium. Tomb of the Kings is almost next door. Coral Bay, a sandy beach with the usual beach activities and a Taverna is just a short bus ride away. You can go on a Quad Bike Safari and we can arrange for a trial introduction to scuba diving or snorkelling, including night snorkelling and we can organise a Jeep Safari in the unspoilt Arkamas area. Car hire is relatively inexpensive if you want to venture off and explore further afield. (Optional activities, such as quad biking, Jeep Safari, snorkelling and scuba diving and entrance fees are not included in the holiday package.)
