** Please note the local payment is part of the holiday cost and is payable to the Mango co-ordinator on arrival in resort. We have to make some payments in cash in resort and by collecting this part of the holiday cost in this way we are able to keep our overall prices down.

Price includes flights, transfers, half board except for one evening meal and services of a Mango coordinator.

Some regional flight supplements of around £30 may apply (subject to availability).

Accommodation is at the Hotel Marina in Puerto Soller, Mallorca.

Studios or apartments are sometimes available for families of 3 or 4 for a supplement of £15 per family per night. In August we cannot guarantee availability of studios or apartments.

The hotel Marina in Puerto Soller in the north-west of Mallorca is a family-run 2 star hotel situated right on the sea front in a pedestriansed area. The beach is sandy, the water is clear and shallow and the hotel also has a swimming pool. Puerto Soller itself is a small unspoilt resort, with lots of restaurants and bars but no discos or clubs and just a few shops aimed at tourists. This makes it an ideal resort because it has everything needed for a great holiday without the masses of tourists to spoil it.

The average maximum daily temperature is 20 in March, 21 in April, 22 in May, 26 in June, 29 in August and 23 in October.

Puerto Soller is linked to the town of Soller by tram, which is a great hit with the children. An old narrow gauge railway links Soller to Palma. The train has been running since 1912. The journey is about an hour and travels through the spectacular Mediterranean landscape of the Tramuntana mountain range. We can take a bus into Palma and return via train and tram for a great day out.

Transport links are good from Port de Soller. Valdemosa, Deia, Alcudia, Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa as well as Palma are all easily reached by public bus. It is also possible to take a boat trip to a quiet bay, Sa Colobra. We will be able to organise some walks around the beautiful bay and harbour and along the coast and we will arrange picnics. One day we will have Beach Olympics a chance for you and your children to participate in a variation of sports day - donkey rides, pass the orange, orange and spoon race, limbo, sand castle building and lots more fun.

We meet up each morning after breakfast with the Mango co-ordinator to plan the activity for the day. Then we meet up again in the evening before dinner.

We eat each evening in the hotel, where there is a self-serve buffet. We leave you free to do your own thing on one evening either on your own or with a small group from the many friends you and your children will make. This gives you the opportunity to try out one of the restaurants specializing in Mallorcan cuisine, including locally caught fish or if you prefer there are Pizzerias and even burger bars.

Mango Holidays sometimes referred to as MangoKids run holidays for single parents with their children. Small families with just one or two children are often penalised by the big tour operators who charge for two adults. Mango is the only tour operator to offer a discount to these small families for all children up to the age of 16 travelling with just one adult. Going on a Mango Holiday is an opportunity for single parents to meet other single parents and many single parents become friends and stay in touch after their holiday. Being single with kids can be a daunting experience but it can be fun and we have designed a programme of holidays and weekend breaks for solo travellers with children to make sure they have some fun. Our solo holidays for single parents with children consist of adventure and activity breaks, ski holidays and holidays in the sun. Mango single parent holidays take place in the UK and overseas. In the UK we have holidays in Devon, Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire and we have a Christmas Party weekend in Warwickshire at the end of November.
