La Rosiere is a fabulous ski destination for families and for all abilities whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advance skier. Situated in the heart of the French Alps in the Savoie region it is the quieter of its neighbouring ski resorts, Les Deux Alpes & Val D`isere. It has a lovely traditional rustic Savoyard feel with low rise chalet accommodation built mostly in wood and stone. With 160km of pistes, La Rosiere is part of the large Espace San Bernardo, linked to La Thuile in Italy since 1984. You can have breakfast in France and lunch in Italy! There are spectacular 180 degree panoramic views from La Rosiere across the Tarentaise valley to Les Arcs, up towards St Foy, Val D´Isere and Tignes and down towards Bourg St Maurice, Aime and Moutiers, as well as impressive views of Mont Blanc from the slopes.

La Rosiere sits at an altitude of 1850m with the highest on-piste skiing at 2640m. It has a good snow record throughout the season and is South facing, best of both worlds. La Rosiere is exceptionally well suited to beginners and intermediates, with plenty of wide open reds and blues. There are several gentle slopes running back into La Rosiere which make the last run home nice and easy. It is a hidden gem where lift queues are rare.

Accommodation

Hotel La Roz is a comfortable, informal hotel in La Rosiere perfect for a relaxed and friendly holiday. The hotel is located close to the centre of La Rosiere 1850 and is next to the principal SKI bus intersections allowing easy access on the free bus to all areas of La Rosiere within minutes. The bedrooms are all ensuite and there are a number of twin, quad and triple rooms. Most of the rooms are south facing and some have balconies with beautiful mountain views. The hotel has a fully licenced restaurant which enjoys stunning panoramic south facing views across the valley to Les Arcs, up the valley to Val D`isere and Tignes and down the valley towards La Plagne. Breakfast is a choice of hot croissants, bread, jams and marmalades, a choice of cereals and hot porridge, a range of fruit yogurts and a delicious hot option (scrambled eggs, poached eggs, welsh rarebit etc) served from 7.30am-9.00am. Dinner is a themed buffet of 3 courses served from 7:30pm-9:30pm. Themes includes French Savoyade, British, Mexican, Chinese, Indian etc. Dinner is accompanied by a generous allocation of wine for everyone (minimum age permitting). No need to leave the hotel!

There is a ski and boot room ensuring the hotel floors stay nice and dry and you are welcome to walk around in your slippers for that homely feel...

Mango Holiday Fun

The trip will be accompanied by a Mango co-ordinator. The co ordinator will ensure that your holiday runs as smoothly as possible. There will be a get together before dinner each evening so that you can all dine together and share your experiences of the day. The Mango co ordinator will organise the collection of ski equipment and liaise with the ski instructors. Ski lessons where possible will be in dedicated Mango groups ensuring that you socialise with the other Mango guests. An ideal way for you and your children to make friends and have lots of fun !
