Bulgarian Winter Experience

New Year and February Half Term

Minimum age 6 years

An action-packed week full of fun winter activities, exploration and discovery off the beaten track in Bulgaria's Rhodope Mountains.  This adventure will have you gliding down the mountains on skis and snowboards,  exploring pine forests and getting to grips with snowshoes, horse riding through the snow, sledding and learning how to build igloos, before finally relaxing in thermal pools! .

Skiing and Snowboarding 

The first half of the trip is based in Borovets, where you will have three days learning how to ski or snowboard. Borovets is one of Bulgaria's best resorts and you will be taught by professionals who really know their stuff. They will have you feeling safe and at ease with your chosen sport, so that you can get as much enjoyment from it as possible. .

Snow-shoeing at the 7 Lakes

The Seven Rila Lakes were created by glaciers and are situated in the Rila Mountains. During your snowshoeing expedition to explore the area, you will visit The Kidney, which has the steepest shores of the entire group, offering a dramatic landscape for you to take in. 

Accommodation - Hotel/Pension (5nts) & Mountain Hut (2nts).

Meals - 7 breakfasts, 3 lunces & 2 dinners.
